wednesdays - Big Wild Imagination

Our Wednesday program is designed to embrace a child's natural creative instincts. Big Wild Imagination provide a variety of materials and resources in a collaborative group setting, allowing children to experiment, explore and get their creative juices flowing.

Big Wild Imagination create a group dynamic that embraces the creative process and focuses on the idea that art is the means and not the end. Throughout the term Ngaire and Steph will guide the children through certain techniques and art methods while still allowing their creativity to shine through. Children are encouraged to collaborate, experiment, explore, imagine and be creative.

thursdays - The bUild It Workshop

Construction toys are ideal for learning because they involve the child as a whole – the muscle movements, their discovery of how different materials feel in their hands and the way they think about spaces, shapes and how different types of building materials go and work together.

Thursdays workshops will explore a wide variety of construction resources lead by The Build It Workshop facilitator, Allen who will challenge the children’s thinking and skills.

fridays - Cooking

Teaching children the basics of cooking is a great way to broaden their knowledge of nutritious food and nutrition in a practical way.  Eating patterns that begin in childhood affect health and well-being throughout life, so early education is an important step in starting children with a positive relationship with food, and this begins with cooking classes in primary school. Whoosh Club will be hosting fun and interactive classes every Friday!
